Lancôme has tapped Demi Moore and Zoe Saldaña as Global Ambassadors to promote its new Absolue Longevity MD line.

Both actresses will front campaigns for the L’Oréal-owned brand’s first skin care range grounded in Longevity Integrative Science, which is centred on Swiss biotech firm Timeline’s Mitopure technology.

The longevity-focused collection – formulated with Mitopure to act proactively on the skin’s visible biological age and validated with dermatologists – is positioned around three pillars: Anticipate, Intercept and Reset.

63-year-old Moore will serve as the face of ‘Reset’, anchoring messaging around renewal and self-acceptance; while 47-year-old Saldaña represents ‘Intercept’, which is described as reclaiming control over the way skin evolves.

These appointments are the latest step in Lancôme’s wider play to be a frontrunner in longevity science.

“When you lead a heritage house, choosing an ambassador has to be intentional. We are not just looking for faces, but for global voices,” Vania Lacascade, Lancôme’s Global Brand President, told Cosmetics Business.

“Zoe embodies connection.

“She does not just represent our vision, she gives it meaning. She embodies a form of optimism that is both powerful and deeply connected to reality.

“What makes Demi particularly relevant today is this relationship with time and experience.

“She speaks openly about evolution, about choosing who you become. There is a strength in how Demi embraces every chapter of her life.

“We do not see ambassadors as faces, we see them as voices that carry meaning, perspective and lived experience.

“They do not just represent the brand; they give meaning to the innovation and create a more integrated story.”

Moore’s career spans more than five decades across film, television and publishing.

Some of her most notable films include Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, The Substance and G.I. Jane.

Saldaña is the highest-grossing film actor of all time, having starred in blockbuster movies Avatar, sequel Avatar: The Way of Water, and Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame

She also starred in Emilia Pérez by filmmaker Jacques Audiard, and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Rita in the Spanish-language musical crime comedy.

Why tie Demi Moore and Zoe Saldaña’s ambassador announcements to Lancôme’s Absolue Longevity MD range?

Lacascade explained that Moore and Saldaña’s appointment to Lancôme’s ambassador family before the brand is about to debut its Absolue Longevity MD product launch on 1 May is “intentional”.

The new skin care range comprises a highly pure form of Urolithin A, a postbiotic that is said to be clinically proven to re-energise mitochondria – the powerhouses of the cell – through a cellular renewal process known as mitophagy, the removal of damaged mitochondria.

“For us, innovation is not just scientific, it is also cultural,” said Lacascade.

“Because longevity is a continuous process, our new range is designed with a transgenerational approach, addressing all
