American actress Uma Thurman is claiming $15m from Lancôme for the use of her image in promotional and publicity material after the ending of her contract with the company.
Thurman says she signed the global contract with L'Oréal in 2000 and it expired in September 2004 in Europe and at the end of 2004 in the US. Her legal representatives claim that Lancôme continued to use her image after these dates.
Thurman starred in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and in Hollywood production Kill Bill.
