Lipstick Lesbians Leaked Labs offers refunds on debut launch following feedback

The beauty brand, founded by viral duo Alexis Androulakis and Dr Christina Basias Androulakis, took an ‘intentional break’ to assess feedback on its first launch, Amplify Flexi Powder, and address how the business will operate going forward

The Lipstick Lesbians beauty brand, Leaked Labs, is offering refunds on its debut product, Amplify Flexi Powder, following consumer feedback.

The beauty brand, founded in March 2026 by viral educator duo and real-life couple Alexis Androulakis and Dr Christina Basias Androulakis, was built around the idea of launching direct-from-lab products.

This is via “controlled leaks” – limited, early access drops of high-potential formulas released directly from partner laboratories and R&D teams.

However, in an update on the brand’s debut product, Amplify Flexi Powder, Alexis stated that the business is now offering refunds for those unhappy with the initial launch.

Leak 001: Amplify Flexi Powders are shape-shifting, water-activated powder pigment discs, which are engineered to bend, ripple, activate with water or setting spray, and reform.

Issues about the product from consumers included the price, mess and overall efficacy of the product, which was communicated to Leaked Labs by user comments on posts on the brand’s Instagram.

“The last thing we would want is for anyone not to have a good experience with our first leak,” said Alexis in an Instagram video.

“So we completely understand this was a very conceptual format.

“If you did not have a good experience with Amplify Flexi Powder and you want a refund, you can do so on our website, or you can reach out at hello@leakedlabs.com.

“We are going to make it right.”

The announcement followed a break in social media posting and communication from the Lipstick Lesbians as Leaked Labs “intentionally decided to pause and assess the customer feedback and what the internet thought”, according to Alexis.

She added in the Instagram post: “We are listening, and we have been making those changes for the last few weeks, behind the scenes already, we took this very seriously.”

Alexis also provided an update on the future direction of Leaked Labs, with its product development, adjustments of the initial launch, and next “leak” currently in the works.

These leaks are identified by a ‘Leak Number’ and introduced in limited quantities to capture real-world performance before scaling.

There will be two types of leaks going forward, categorised as “discovery” and “product development”, alongside the release of a documentary series to provide more insight into the business model.

Alexis further explained in the video: “There has always been a plan for me to product develop within this business.

“It just did not happen with the first leak; that was what we call a discovery.

“We created a docu-series so we could be more transparent and bring you into the leaks, [and] we needed this reset before we could do so.”

“This is my favourite part that I am most excited for, allowing our community to experience the leaks even before they necessarily hit the market.”

Alexis continued: “This has always been about sharing our love and joy for beauty, and that has not changed, and we are here to serve the beauty community.

“We really just cannot wait for you to get the next leak.”

Since the debut of Leaked Labs, the industry has been rife with debate as to whether the concept can truly revolutionise beauty product development?
