Lornamead acquires Woods of Windsor

Lornamead has announced its acquisition of the brand Woods of Windsor from Disperse Group for an undisclosed sum after the Group went into administration on 1 February 2007. The company now owns the assets, rights and inventory to all Woods of Windsor products, excluding retail outlets.

Mike Jatania, chief executive of Lornamead, said of the deal: “Woods of Windsor fits extremely well within Lornamead's stable of products. It is a well-established iconic brand with excellent presence in the UK and global market place. We believe that by investing in the brand and growing its distribution channels in the UK and abroad, we can considerably increase our share of the bath luxuries and fragrance market.”

The move is part of Lornamead's focus on acquisition and investment in heritage brands. Jatania explained: “We continue to look for opportunities in the personal care sector that fit with our acquisition strategy.”
