LVMH Q1 2013 revenue increases 6% to €6.9bn
Organic revenue up 7%
LVMH has released its first quarter 2013 results reporting a 6% increase in revenue to €6.9bn and organic revenue growth of 7%.
The positive results were partially down to continued strong growth in Asia and the US, with Europe showing resistance through the challenging economic environment. The Perfumes & Cosmetics arm of the business saw organic revenue growth of 5% in Q1 bolstered by solid growth of the Christian Dior brand and, in particular, the continued strength of J’adore, Miss Dior and Dior Homme. Meanwhile, Guerlain continued to benefit from sales of La Petite Robe Noire and the success of its premium skin care line Orchidée Impériale. Givenchy, Benefit and Fresh also continued to strengthen their positions.
