LVMH to acquire botanicals brand Ole Henriksen
Luxury products group aims to ‘expand the company’s international distribution’
Luxury products group, LVMH, has announced that it has bought the US-based botanical skin care company, Ole Henriksen, founded by its Danish namesake in Los Angeles in 1975. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The acquisition forms part of what LVMH calls its “strategy to identify brands with strong, long-term potential and then helping them to capitalise on it”. Ole Henriksen is currently sold in Sephora and in spas in 22 countries worldwide and LVMH has said that it hopes to expand this international distribution going forwards.
Commenting on the deal, skin care guru Henriksen said: “I am thrilled to join LVMH – supported by the global knowledge of the leading luxury products group, I am confident my brand can expand its presence well beyond what we have achieved today to become a highly desired brand in the skin care market.”
