Lynx lathers up to set new world record

152 people shower together on Bournemouth Beach

Personal care giant Unilever has set a new Guinness World Record as 152 people gathered for a communal shower on Bournemouth Beach to launch the new and improved Lynx Shower Gel series. The record for most people shower simultaneously at the same venue beat the previous record by six people.

With six new fragrances available in a selection of vibrant colours, the new Lynx range was used by the men and women who gathered to wash together under a specially constructed shower, set up on the beach.

Anna Orford, official adjudicator for Guinness World Records, said: “Lynx has constructed a fantastic showering tool and the people of Bournemouth have been applauded for getting into the spirit of the day and taking a shower together. Congratulations to everyone involved.“
