Manucurist, the nail care brand, has received a minority investment from European private equity firm Inflexion.
The long-term partnership aims to accelerate the brand's international growth and reinforce its innovation capabilities.
This includes a particular focus on the US and further retail rollout, alongside continued growth in digital and marketplace channels.
Inflexion will also support investment in the team, systems and new product development to build Manucurist into a “global leader in ‘clean’ nail care products”.
Inflexion previously supported the growth of Medik8, the British vitamin A-focused skin care brand, helping it scale internationally and expand across channels ahead of its sale to L'Oréal in 2025.
Gaëlle Lebrat Personnaz, Co-CEO and founder of Manucurist, said: “After ten years of innovation and expansion, I am proud and delighted to partner with Inflexion, who shares our vision and has a proven record of helping founder-led brands grow internationally.
“We look forward to working together on the next stage of our journey.”
Founded in 1996, Manucurist began life in Paris, France, within a professional nail and beauty salon.
After several years in fashion, at luxury houses including Louis Vuitton, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Personnaz took over the family business in 2016.
Three years later, in 2019, the brand launched its hero product Green Flash, which is sold across more than 40 countries worldwide.
Tom Pemberton, Partner, Head of Enterprise Fund and Consumer, at Inflexion, added: “Manucurist is exactly the kind of business we like to back.
“A brilliant founder-led brand that has disrupted the market through product innovation and outstanding brand execution.
“We are extremely excited to support the team to accelerate its international growth story, particularly in the US, and to help build it into the global leader in clean nail care.”
