Minimalist make-up brand Merit has teamed up with American luxury fashion brand Brandon Maxwell to launch a limited-edition collection, set to land on 2 October.
The partnership sees Merit’s Signature Bag reimagined by the designer for Fall/Winter 2025, with black peddled vegan leather and a silver metal knot detail inspired by Brandon Maxwell’s signature hardware.
The collaboration also sees the launch of an exclusive, limited-edition shade of Merit’s Lip Blush.
Maxwell, a soft cinnamon brown shade, gives a diffused matte finish and is presented in exclusive silver packaging.
Coinciding with the fashion brand’s tenth anniversary, the collaboration celebrates the ongoing partnership between the two, with Merit providing make-up for Brandon Maxwell’s SS25 and SS26 runway shows.
“The Signature Bag was created prior to launching Merit – we knew we wanted an objet d'art that you could use as a makeup bag or purse that also insulated your shipment,” said Aila Morin, Merit’s Chief Marketing Officer.
“Collaborating on our original design and iterating with creative partners has been a privilege.”
Previous iterations of the Signature Bag have included collaborations with womenswear and accessories brand Proenza Schouler fashion house Tove.
“Brandon's work has been on our moodboards for many years,” Morin added.
“His importance in American fashion and his effortless, classic design style [are] a perfect fit for the Merit client.
“We are so proud to partner with him in honour of [the] tenth anniversary [of] his iteration of The Signature Bag.”
