Mettler Toledo is offering several new instruments designed to make life less complicated for manufacturers.
SmartCheck is described as ideal for inspecting small packaged products without the usual complexities associated with x-rays. SmartCheck detects and rejects potentially damaging contaminants including metal, stone, glass and bone using low energy x-ray technology. A user-intuitive touch screen makes operation simple meaning that minimal training is required. The system requires no x-ray knowledge, thereby reducing start time, maintenance training and operator costs. In addition, SmartCheck’s heat generating x-ray component is separated from the rest of the electronics to maximise the equipment’s stability and life.
Also new from Mettler Toledo are a range of compact laboratory printers and a compact line of Karl Fischer titrators. The printers can provide GxP-compliant printouts on regular, adhesive or lightfast paper and boast a compact footprint enabling them to be placed anywhere in the user’s laboratory. The compact titrator line meanwhile comprises four instruments: the V20, which provides routine volumetric titration from 100 ppm up to 100% water; the V30, an all-round volumetric titrator that can be equipped with the stromboli oven sample changer; the C20, a routine coulometer for determination from 1 ppm up to 5% water; and the C30, an all-round coulometer with additional security features and comprehensive application possibilities.
