Natural and organic beauty brands honoured at Natural & Organic Products Europe 2010
Natural beauty given recognition at top trade show awards
Over 500 exhibitors and 8,000 delegates gathered at London’s Olympia exhibition centre over the past couple of days to take part in the key trade show for all things natural and organic. This included a host of beauty brands, some of which were honoured at the show’s prestigious awards event recognising their pioneering efforts.
There were four categories this year where natural and organic C&T products had their chance to be honoured. The award for Best Organic Facial Skin Care Product went to Botanicals Ltd for its Rose & Camellia Cleansing Melt while it also took home the Best Organic Body Care Product accolade for its Mint & Tea Tree Foot Balm. Baby care company Lulu & Boo scooped the award for Best Organic Baby Product for its Baby Bottom Balm while Butterflies Healthcare Ltd beat off stiff competition from the likes of Weleda to take home the coveted award for Best New Natural Beauty Product for its NATorigin Pencil Eyeliner.
Natural & Organic Products Europe was also the platform for the Soil Association to launch its latest Organic Market Report to delegates, full details of which are now available on its website. The report indicates that consumers should remain positive for natural and organic products sales in 2010, following an encouraging first few months. The report however did show that sales of organic products in the UK fell by 12.9% in 2009 to total £1.84bn.
