Ineos Barex and Velox have teamed up to create a new grade of Barex resin for use in packaging requiring greater transparency.

Barex resins, which belong to a family of acrylonitrile-methyl acrylate copolymers, boast high barrier properties to gases including nitrogen and oxygen as well as chemical resistance and inertness. The Cosmetic Clear Barex is claimed to offer higher clarity making it an ideal substitute for glass. It has several advantages over glass being lightweight and enabling flexible design, ease of grip and improved safety.
