Albania, Kosova and Macedonia are ripe for C&T development

Shiseido has launched the sale of cosmetics in Albania and this move will be followed by entry into two other Balkan markets – Kosovo and Macedonia. The policy is part of initiatives to reinforce the group's operations in Europe.

The Shiseido brand will be handled in the Balkan countries by Everet Group Ltd, a distributor headquartered in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with a track record of handling the Japanese company's business in eastern Europe. Shiseido has said that the economies in these three Balkan countries have shown signs of growth in recent years with social stabilisation. There is a relatively affluent population with an interest in beauty care and an economic environment favourable to cosmetics purchasing.
