The beauty market in China is booming, according to the man at the helm of cosmetics giant L’Oréal, CEO Jean-Paul Agon.

Talking with the Financial Times, Agon said the business was bucking the wider economic slowdown with brands including Maybelline and Lancôme appealing to Chinese consumers, particularly the country’s growing middle class.
