Beauty brand teams up with Perfect Corp for virtual reality testing app
Elizabeth Arden products will be added to the YouCam Makeup app following an agreement between the brand and app developer, Perfect Corp.
The virtual make-up app allows consumers to “try on” products before purchase using a virtual interface. It has been downloaded more than 100 million times so far. It will now include a comprehensive selection of Elizabeth Arden cosmetics, with the option to purchase items directly.
The cosmetics brand will also benefit from real-time customer insights from the app which it will analyse to determine product popularity and customisable options.
The partnership is the latest step in Elizabeth Arden’s plan to digitise its offering. It is also a significant move for Perfect Corp as it attempts to incorporate a greater number of prestige brands into its app.
