The former singer and actress will be the brand's hair care ambassador for its Nutrisse range

Garnier has tapped actress Mandy Moore to be its newest ambassador.

From today, the former Noughties pop princess and This Is Us acctress will make her debut as a #GarnierGirl in the brand’s latest Nutrisse Advertising.

In the intimately-shot campaign video, the brand highlights the importance of change in life and beauty decisions by asking the actress a series of rapid fire questions.

These include who has more fun, blondes or brunettes? What's your biggest beauty regret? What's something that should never change? And what's one thing you can't live without?

“Changing my hair colour changed everything in my life,” Moore said in the Garnier clip. “I think it helped people see me differently. People regarded me differently.”

“We are very proud to have Mandy Moore join the Garnier family," said Ikdeep Singh, President of Maybelline, Garnier & Essie at L'Oréal USA.

"Mandy's talent, accomplishments and grace through transforming from teen pop star to leading lady embrace what it means to be a real, modern role model for women."

Previous Garnier ambassadors include comedian and writer Tina Fey, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and beauty influencer Estee Lalonde.

“Garnier encourages women to be their best – whatever that means for you,” added Moore.

"I love to change my hair because in a world where so much is out of my control, it makes me feel like I'm doing something to shake things up. But it's deeper than blonde or brunette.

“It's about figuring out how to make my outsides reflect my insides, and that takes a little soul searching. I'm thrilled, even a little nervous, to go down that exciting, if imperfect, path together with Garnier."
