Germany’s Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has addressed public concern over the safety of cosmetic ingredients by posting a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section on its website. The page explains its stance on the risk assessment of cosmetic products and is said to be in response to growing public discussion about cosmetic ingredients, such as preservatives and UV filters, and whether they can pose fundamental health risks.
