Fashion and fragrance brand Guess is aiming to captivate consumers with a steamy new ad campaign for its Guess Seductive Noir scents, inspired by old Hollywood glamour.

Directed by the Inter Parfums-owned brand's Creative Director Paul Marciano, the campaign features Guess models Kelsie Smeby and Charlie Matthews in a series of black and white photographs.

With elongated poses and dramatic shadowing, inspired by cinematic film noir and shot by LA-based photographer Josh Ryan, the campaign is designed to underscore the bold mystery of the new Seductive Noir fragrance, according to the brand.

Jean Madar, CEO of Inter Parfums, said: “The Guess Seductive collection of fragrances embodies the timeless and iconic values of the Guess brand: sexy confidence and daring intrigue.

“We are incredibly excited to continue this legacy with the addition of two new scents, Seductive Noir for men and women.”

The Seductive Noir scent for women features notes of fresh bergamot, sage and peony, leading to a floral heart including iris pallida, jasmine sambac and muguet and finishing with Haitian vetiver, white suede and vanilla.

Meanwhile, the male variant is said to have a “magnetic, sexy and modern masculine energy” with top notes of black pepper, pomelo and nutmeg, middle notes of lavender, orange flower and golden apple and a base of tonka bean, liquid amber and sandalwood.

Seductive Noir is the latest flanker to the brand's original Guess Seductive fragrance, released in 2010, which has gone on to become its number one best selling fragrance globally.

Last month, the brand was singled out as contributing to Inter Parfums' Q2 sales boost to $166.2m, thanks to its ongoing success in the US.
