Hair care brand Monat files lawsuit against ‘anti-Monat’ group leader

Monat Global Corp, a US manufacturer of hair thickening products, has filed a defamation lawsuit against consumer Vickie Harrington.

The company is seeking damages in excess of US$225,000 and permanent injunctive relief against Harrington for allegedly making “intentional and maliciously false statements” about the company and its products.

Harrington was described by Monat as the principal behind an online, self-proclaimed anti-Monat group.
