Yves Saint Laurent Beauté has promoted Maroons 5 lead singer Adam Levine to become its latest global brand ambassador.

The 39-year-old The Voice judge formerly worked as the beauty brand’s US face.

In the new role, he will front the brand’s international campaign for its male fragrance Y.

Stephan Bazy, President for the YSL beauty arm, said: “We welcome Adam Levine to YSL’s international family of ambassadors.”

Other celebrity faces include American actress Zoe Kravitz; daughter of guitarist Hal Lindes, Staz Lindes; and singer Halsey.

Bazy added: “Truly talented, yet with an affable nature and a sense of style we relate to, he brings an added energy to the world of YSL Beauté, which we’re excited to now be able to share in his new role as global ambassador for Y.”

Levine said: “It’s incredible to be expanding my role with YSL Beauté and to be able to reach out to a global audience cia a brand which I’ve always loved for its standout style and innovation.

“Continuing the story for Y is important to me - it’s easy to relate to the passion and strong sense of individuality that the house of YSL imparts, but importantly it also feels right for now, for the creative generation of today.”

The edt combines white aldehydes, bergamot and ginger, on heart notes of sage, geranium and violet with a base of ambergris, incense, fir balsam, cedar and musk.

Meanwhile, the fragrance’s campaign will be released worldwide from mid-August.
