Green Revolution Bo.Ho is an organic make-up company that launched in France in 2012. It is the brainchild of Vincent Honnart, formerly of wholesaler Aelslife Pharma, and Christèle Bombana, formerly of L’Oréal. It sells its products via its own website and in pharmacies and health food stores. Here, co-founder and CEO Honnart speaks with Cosmetic News Weekly.

Why did you start Bo.Ho?

We started with a very clear statement by analysing the current make-up market. Although the conventional supply was bloated, the market contained no offer of natural make-up at an affordable price level. In addition, the colours were rather bland and expressed little in the way of naturalness. We found that the competitive environment lacked a brand gathering all the criteria that we considered essential (colour, assortment, price, commitment to the environment), so there was clearly room for a brand that was decidedly different.
