John Lewis pledges net carbon zero emissions by 2050

The John Lewis Partnership has committed to reducing its operational greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.

The pledge is in response to the pathway set by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and will be achieved without purchasing offsets, according to the retail group.
