Kiehl’s achieves most mentioned skin care brand in 2018

Despite its success, the luxury American brand’s traction declined from 2017

Luxury American skin care brand Kiehl’s has been named the most mentioned skin care brand across print, online and social media in the UK during 2018.

The results were published in My Market Insight in its report on skin care performance in the UK in 2018.

The beauty brand was founded by Manhattan, New York City, by John Kiehl in 1851 and specialises in creating skin, hair and body care products.

It received 1,306 mentions across the three platforms, however, this was a drop on its mentions compared to 2017 at 1,368.

Elemis came in a close second with an increase of over 200 compared with the year before with 1,284 mentions.

However, the highlight for 2018 came from millennial-focused brand GlamGlow, which experienced a 70% increase compared to 2017.

This has largely been put down to the brand’s new product launches including its Waterburst Hydrated Glow Moisturiser, which according to My Market Insight, achieved 109 mentions across 62 different media outlets.
