LVMH’s Perfumes and Cosmetics business grows 7%

Parfums Christian Dior, Parfums Givenchy and Fresh drive profits in the first half of 2017

Fresh’s Black Tea line is proving popular in Asia

LVMH has revealed its financial results for H1 2017, with revenues totalling €19.7m, up from €17.1 in the first half of 2016.

In the Perfumes and Cosmetics division, the company generated €292m in profit, up 7%, while revenue reached €2.6m.

The division was, however, a contributor towards LVMH’s large marketing bill; the company ploughed €7.7m into marketing and selling expenses in the first half, up 11%.

LVMH said it was mainly due to retail network development, but also higher communications costs, especially in the perfumes and cosmetics division.
