A new ranking by job listing website Indeed reveals the best retail companies to work for in 2018

The best places to work in UK retail have been ranked by job listing website Indeed.
The Top 15 list, which was compiled based on user ratings and reviews on indeed.co.uk, was topped by John Lewis, which employs more than 10,000 people and is famous for its ‘never knowingly undersold’ price promise.
Two cosmetics pure-play retailers also made the cut, with Lush Cosmetics ranking in second place and The Body Shop in tenth.
Lush had an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5, with the ethical beauty manufacturer scoring 4.3 for company culture – the highest mark in the ranking for this criteria.
The company, headquartered in Poole, is known to pay its employees the Living Wage or more and offer 50% off for all staff.
Meanwhile The Body Shop has an overall rating of 4, with employees scoring work/life balance at 3.8 and company culture at 3.9.
Several other cosmetics retailers also made it onto the list, including Marks & Spencer (4th), Harrods (7th), Waitrose (9th), TJX (11th) and J Sainsbury (15th).
