The associations aim to provide information for consumers on the benefits of organic cosmetics in an easy-to-digest way

Natural and organic cosmetics association Natrue and the Organic Trade Board (OTB) are partnering to grow awareness and sales of organic cosmetics.

A UK membership association, the OTB has historically focused on the food and drinks industry, but in recent years has opened up its campaigning and membership to non-food areas, including beauty.

The new partnership will see Natrue and the OTB amplify their messaging through the sharing of clear, concise information about the benefits of certified organic cosmetics.

According to the partners, the overarching objective is to support, promote and increase knowledge about the natural and organic beauty sector in the UK.

The main goal, they said, is to provide information for consumers in an easy-to-digest way on the benefits of certified organic beauty.

Natrue was founded in 2007 and offers a label criteria that sets strict requirements for both natural and organic cosmetic products, aiming to ensure clarity and transparency.

Globally, more than 8,700 products and raw materials on the market carry the Natrue label.
