Manufacturer finds a buyer after going into administration earlier this month

Potter & Moore, part of the Creightons Group, has purchased closed business Broad Oak Toiletries for £600,000.

Potter & Moore is purchasing all of Broad Oak’s assets including its stock, although it has not agreed to take on any employees from the old company. Potter & Moore hopes the acquisition will increase their group sales by £3.2m.

A spokesperson from the Potter & Moore Group said: “Neither PMD nor Creightons has agreed to take on any employees from Broad Oak Toiletries. Creightons understands that all were made redundant before the acquisition of these assets.”

William McIlroy, Chairman at Creightons, added: “We are very excited by this acquisition which complements the Company's existing production capabilities which we are confident will add to both the Company's sales and profits by enabling us to produce and supply new product ranges such as Soap, Candles and Powder products to an enlarged customer base who will benefit from our superior supply chain management."
