Silab's natural active ingredient stimulates epidermal homeostasis

A natural active ingredient from Silab has been shown to stimulate epidermal homeostasis to ensure a functional barrier.

With age and exogenous factors, barrier function becomes damaged, resulting in dry, rough, uncomfortable skin.

Recently, Silab released additional efficacy data on its Recoverine ingredient, showing its capacity to control homeostasis in the stratum corneum by stimulating a) cellular energy production via triggering mitophagy, thereby increasing the production of the ATP required for correct keratinocyte function; and b) peptidylarginine deiminases (PAD) enzyme activity to favour the cohesion-desquamation equilibrium.
