Niche French brand Innovatouch has launched three new skin care products based on unusual ingredients: a hand cream with snail slime; a serum with snake venom; and asses' milk soap.

Crème Mains Reparatrice (Repairing Hand Cream, €12 for 50ml) contains allantoin-rich snail slime, alongside aloe vera and shea butter to 'help your hands face the rigours of winter', says the company. The slime extract is a trademarked concentrate, Nuricible Helix Aspersa, developed by the company's R&D department, and which contains allantoin, collagen, elastin and glycolic acid.

Snake venom, says Innovatouch, creates a lifting effect on the skin and tightens wrinkles. L'Elixir Serum (€29.90 for 30ml) is the company's latest addition to its small snake-venom skincare range. The products have also undergone a packaging colour change, discarding the old olive-green colourway in exchange for purple, to appear more feminine.

The third new product is Savon au Lait d'Anesse (€5.90 for 125g), designed for daily usage to prevent dried-out hands and encourage women to return to soap as a facial cleanser if they had previously given it up as too drying.

Innovatouch Cosmetics's three product ranges, which also feature skin creams and gels, are available in French pharmacies and from the website www.lamalleautresor.com.
