Brand will supply lifeguards with SPF50+

P20 has announced that it will supply the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) with P20 SPF50+ as part of a new initiative.

The brand will supply 1,300 lifeguards with its products and will distribute 2,000 samples to beach goers as part of a summer engagement programme. The campaign promotes sea safety messages and offers people visiting the coast the chance to become regular supporters of the charity through RNLI membership.

Brett Shepherd, Operations Manager at RNLI, said: "We are delighted to be working with P20 sun protection this summer. Safety of the public visiting the coast is what we are best known for, but we also need to take care of our lifesavers and, in a lifeguard’s environment, this includes sun protection. We have 1,300 lifeguards across 220 beaches around the UK and Channel Islands who are in and out of the water throughout the day while they are on duty. This requires a large quantity of quality long-lasting, very water-resistant sun protection and so this partnership is saving precious RNLI funds. As a charity that relies on the public for donations, this generous support is very welcome.”

Suzy Read, UK Marketing Controller at P20, added: "The RNLI is an admirable organisation which keeps so many people safe across our coastlines and P20 is proud to supply the RNLI lifeguards and thrilled to work alongside them this year. Our collaboration with the RNLI ensures sun safety for their lifeguards throughout the summer.”
