Shimmer beauty products are nothing new. Most colour cosmetics brands have dabbled in the delights of mica and glitter pigments at some point, even if that is only at strategic times of the year such as Christmas.

Then you have the likes of Lush, which continues to be a firm favourite with consumers looking to add that extra multi-sensory dimension to bath time year-round.

Newer launches such as Golden Egg sit alongside nostalgic skus including its 14-year-old Shimmy Shimmy glitter bar. But when it comes to viral beauty launches, glitter isn’t necessarily the first thing you’d think of.

Cue Australian brand Frank Body, which has achieved just that with its new limited edition Shimmer Scrub.
