The US beauty brand and retailer has released a new fragrance collection inspired by the Middle East

US beauty retailer Crabtree & Evelyn has released a new fragrance collection inspired by the Middle East. The collection, named Perfumes of the Night Garden, is said to blend the “scented palate” of the Middle East, which includes smoky woods, resins, regal flowers and citrus fruits, with a more contemporary edge.

The first fragrance is named Ottoman Rose, and blends Arabian rose with blackberry, carnation and leather. In contrast, Kashmir Musk, which is said to capture “the scented trail from valleys and mountains to Middle Eastern souks” combines English iris with exotic spices and grey musk.

Drawing on a more traditional Middle Eastern fragrance ingredient, Assam Oudh balances notes of crystallised lemon, blood orange and bergamot with golden oudh, while the last of the collection, Persian Thé, combines black tea with cardamom, cinnamon, labdanum and amber.

The fragrances are available at Harrods priced at £140, and will extend worldwide into Crabtree & Evelyn stores from this month.
