South Korea’s Woongjin Group to enter cosmetics market with American skin care brand Dermalogica

South Korea’s Woongjin Group, a highly diversified conglomerate, says it will enter the cosmetics market and has secured exclusive rights to sell the American skin care brand Dermalogica in Korea.

The line-up includes cleansers, exfoliants, toners and masques. Woongjin has established an affiliate, Woongjin Tutuluv, to handle the project and hopes to start business within the next few months. According to the company, domestic aesthetic shops are targets in the initial phase, to be followed by duty free shops and cosmetics stores. The company plans a flagship store in Nonhyeon, an affluent district in southern Seoul.
