Oat Cosmetics cultivates lupin-derived peptides

Published: 3-Mar-2011

CP Sweet Blue Lupin Peptides is the latest ingredient from Oat Cosmetics. Manufactured by Oat Cosmetics’ partner Ceapro Inc, the peptides are extracted from a proprietary variety of Lupin grown under contract in Canada, which the company says allows for excellent traceability in the supply chain.

The Ecocert-certified natural product is extracted via a process that ensures optimum isolation and high purification of the peptides, which Oat Cosmetics says provides excellent emulsifying properties and water binding capacity, whilst ensuring it is non-allergenic. It is also soluble over a wide pH range.

According to Oat Cosmetics, Sweet Blue Lupin Peptides is suitable for inclusion in shampoos, conditioners, styling gels and treatments as well as for moisturisers and sun care products.
