OBJ to develop drug delivery technology for Philosophy skin care


Australia based drug delivery technology developer OBJ Limited has signed an agreement with US beauty giant Coty Inc. to develop and manufacture its patented eSkin system for Coty’s Philosophy skin care brand.

The agreement will see Philosophy and OBJ jointly develop, program and manufacture eSkin systems with the proprietary delivery fields necessary to control a number of key ingredients used widely by Philosophy.

Dermaportation, which was recently patented in the US and Europe, was OBJ's first drug delivery technology and has been incorporated into its eSkin cosmetic device system. The technology is said to generate precise time-varying magnetic fields via a micro-processor, making it suitable for repeat applications, extended usage and multi-formulation requirements.

The device can be implemented as a power patch, a wand, an instrument or an iPod-like device.
