Greentech has launched Inca Inchi Lipactive, claimed to be the richest known source of alpha-linolenic acid (omega 3). It also contains other unsaturated fatty acids like linoleic acid (omega 9). Patented by Greentech for cosmetic applications, Lipactive is said to restore the cutaneous barrier organisation and epidermic elasticity. It is said to be particularly suitable for dry and atopic skin care.

This new product is derived from seeds growing in the Amazonian area of Peru, according to traditional and organic agriculture methods. Cultivation of the Inca Inchi plant and its oil industrialisation are part in a sustainable development programme that allows the plant to be harvested while ensuring respect of the environment and the grassroots producers way of life.
