Oriflame exceeds expectations
Swedish cosmetics group Oriflame increased sales in the euro-zone by 30% in third quarter 2008 to €229.6m while sales in local currency rose by 32%. Pre-tax earnings were up by 41% in the quarter to €36.8m while net profits rose by 93% to €23.1m. Euro-zone sales in the first nine months of this year improved by 22% to €934.7m with net profits before restructuring costs up 30% at €93.8m. Sales growth for the full year is now expected to be over 20% in local currency terms with an improved operating margin.
