The collaboration hopes to merge the two brands to target Gen Z and millennials

Celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin’s brands Ouai and Mane are launching a collaboration.

Mane, the hair tools brand which Atkin launched in 2016 is teaming up with Ouai to bring out the Mane x Ouai The Anti-Frizz Kit.

The tool combines Mane’s Hot Straightening Brush and Ouai’s Anti-Frizz Crème.

Launching at Sephora exclusively on 27 January, it will retail for US$98.

Atkin speaking with WWD said the collaboration was a perfect opportunity for Ouai to appeal to Gen Z and Gen Alpha, and for Mane to appeal to millennials.

She said: “We’ve been looking at the audience for both brands, and it is so fun to create products for consumers that are in different phases of their lives.

“With Ouai, we are growing up with the millennial beige girl and it has been eight years. For them, what we are doing with Mane is fun and nostalgic.”

“Ouai has always been known for simplifying your hair routine and with Mane, we are all about getting you out the door faster. We talk about styling in no time that lasts a long time.”

CEO of Mane Rachel Jonas Gilman said: “It was a good opportunity to introduce the new tool, partner with our sister brand, focus on brand awareness and its exclusive at Sephora.”
