P Diddy's fragrance portfolio hots up
Sean John Fragrances (Estée Lauder/Aramis) has unveiled the next fragrance to grace P Diddy's fragrance franchise. Unforgivable will be joined by a women's fragrance, Unforgivable Woman, which will hit shelves in September.
Sean John Fragrances (Estée Lauder/Aramis) has unveiled the next fragrance to grace P Diddy's fragrance franchise. Unforgivable will be joined by a women's fragrance, Unforgivable Woman, which will hit shelves in September.
Unforgivable Woman is based on a pina colada note and is accompanied by a rather explicit publicity campaign, featuring Combs seducing a young lady, shot by photographer Eric Ogden. The advertising campaign will appear on national television and throughout the press as well as being aired via the less traditional webisode route – which will be screened on Combs' MySpace page and websites.
And the notorious Combs has no intention of stopping there. Kim Cowan, of Aramis' development team, told ECM that a further men's fragrance is slated for launch in spring 2008. Lauder has been very pleased with the brand's performance so far. Unforgiveable by Sean John was the best-selling men's prestige fragrance in the US, following its launch in February 2006, and grossed $73m in its first twelve months, according to Euromonitor.
