A range of Paris Hilton branded mini beauty fridges, made by Epoca International, have been recalled over safety fears, with consumers told to stop using them immediately.
The electrical switch on the device can short circuit, causing it to overheat, which poses a risk of fire and burns, according to a recall notice published by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Around 110,000 units of the fridge are part of the recall, which includes the 4L model in pink, white, aqua and hot pink; as well as a 10L model in pink and white.
The affected units were manufactured before August 2024, said the CPSC, and feature Paris Hilton’s branding on the front.
Serial numbers included in the voluntary recall, and which are located on the back of 4L models and on the bottom 10L models, are:
- 10L Pink PH11887 – serial number begins 2024
- 10L White PH11887-1 – serial number begins 2024
- 4L Aqua PZB02-E001 – serial number begins 202206–202406
- 4L Hot Pink PH12540 – serial number begins 2024
- 4L Pink PZP01-E001 – serial number begins 202206 - 20240704020
- 4L White PZW01-E001 – serial number begins 202206–202406.
The mini fridges were sold at US retailers Walmart and Ross stores, as well as on Walmart’s website, Amazon and other online retailers between November 2022 and July 2025.
Units with other serial numbers not listed above are not affected and are safe to use, Epoca said in a recall notice on its own website.
The CPSC said it is aware of 27 reports of the mini fridge overheating and catching fire.
No injuries were reported, however property damage included the unit itself and surrounding areas.
Anyone with the affected units should stop using it immediately and unplug it.
Consumers are being offered a refund via epoca.com/minifridgerecall.
