The Italian cosmetics association is looking to refocus on representing the whole Italian cosmetics industry

Italian cosmetics association Polo Tecnologico della Cosmesi, which currently represents companies based around Crena, near Milan, has revealed it intends to refocus on representing the whole Italian cosmetics industry.

At the company’s recent general meeting, President Matteo Moretti said that the time had come to change: “Our aim is to grow the network and also the companies that are part of it,” he said. “These are our intentions for the future where I will funnel all my energy and efforts of my staff.”

France’s Cosmetic Valley is the model from which Polo Tecnologico draws inspiration. A local network founded in 1994, today Cosmetic Valley is a powerful network in the French and international cosmetic sector.

Polo Tecnologico too wants to graduate from “a spontaneous organisation at the local level” to being “a structure with a legal personality, with its own resources and with a capacity of self-financing,” said Moretti.

It will be opened to all companies of “national excellence” in the cosmetic sector, with a focus on contract manufacturers in particular.
