Purearth introduces its CBD line, crafted with proprietary Ayurvedic macerations

Published: 14-Jan-2021

With a focus on the income generation potential for indigenous people in the Himalayan region, Purearth has been advocating and lobbying for the legalisation and use of Cannabis for skin care, wellness and lifestyle for over 6 years.

The award-winning brand works extensively with medicinal plants sourced directly from women self-help groups across the Himalayas.

Purearth is looking forward to the launch of its CBD line in Q1 2021, partnering with manufacturers in the UK/US and in India under license from the Ministry of AYUSH.

An integral aspect of this launch is to create awareness in consumers about its medicinal, therapeutic and health benefits and as a zero-waste source of sustainable livelihoods in a circular economy.

“I am eager to bring our cannabis CBD range not only to individuals but also to hospice care, oncologists, physiologists and psychiatrists. Cannabis is one of only five sacred plants mentioned in the Atharva Veda, an ancient and important treatise on health and medicine. The recent historic UN vote reclassifying Cannabis out of the most dangerous category of drugs is a step in the right direction.

"Purearth aims to run workshops and seminars to dispel the myths, the mystery and the stigma surrounding this medicinal plant. We want to educate consumers with the right knowledge, the legal position and the health and wellness benefits of CBD."

According to a WHO report - “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Viewers can watch Purearth Founder - Kavita Khosa live in conversation with Boheco Life, discussing the medicinal, therapeutic uses of cannabis, both topically and sublingually, and the legalities, myths and mystery surrounding this medicinal plant here.
