Rexam launches glass-effect plastic

New from Rexam is Crystal Transparency, a glass-like plastic claimed to offer startling clarity as well as cost and manufacturing efficiency. The material is available on all Rexam standard samplers including its Sof’n’Touch, Mini-Mist and Sofistic’s products. Crystal Transparency offers the aesthetic appeal of glass but is lighter, allowing for reduced transportation costs, and tough enough to reduce filling line breakage, according to the company.

In other news, two brands have selected Rexam products for new launches. Oriflame’s Total Age Control Cream, part of its North for Men range, uses Rexam’s airless Prodigio lotion dispenser with CleanPoint technology, while Spanish fashion house Custo Barcelona chose the clear, neutral SP7 fragrance pump for its new Custo Man fragrance (Idesa Parfums).
