More beauty businesses have rallied together to support those affected by the wildfires raging across Los Angeles.
Thrive Causemetics is donating 100% of profits to Los Angeles Wildfire Relief Efforts to support “people and animals affected by the wildfires”.
“We are so blown away and grateful for the support you’ve shown our Los Angeles community,” Thrive Causemetics wrote on Instagram.
“Please know we’re actively working behind the scenes to provide resources and support to those affected by the wildfires.
“We’ll continue to update you with important information as we move forward together, and we can’t wait to share the impact of your donations.”
Huda Beauty has also shown its support for MUAs affected by the blaze.
“If you or someone you know had to leave behind your make-up kit due to an evacuation of LA wildfires, please don’t hesitate to contact us at socialpor@hudabeauty.com,” Huda Kattan wrote in an Instagram post.
“We understand how essential these kits are to your livelihood, and our team is here to support you in rebuilding your essentials so you can get back on your feet.”
Beauty Blender is equally supporting MUAs and has promised to help artists restock kits which have been lost to the blaze.
Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty, meanwhile, has provided support to those impacted by the fire.
The brand has assembled emergency care kits with essentials for evacuation centres and made donations to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and World Central Kitchen.
“As a brand that was born and grown in Los Angeles, we are devastated to see our local community affected by the recent wildfires across Southern California, displacing families and destroying homes and businesses,” the brand wrote in an Instagram post.
“We have spent the last few days focused on ensuring the safety of our Los Angeles team and friends who have been impacted, and we are working with local organisations on additional product donations and volunteering efforts.”
LA-based brand evolvetogether has donated over 50,000 medical-grade face masks and essential personal care items to shelters and evacuation centres in affected areas.
The business is also actively coordinating donations to their customers in need, as well as community members who've lost their homes and belongings to the devastation.
Personal care brand DUDE Wipes has also been distributing On-The-Go Shower Wipes to first responders in need and families displaced around the LA area.
Hailey Bieber, the founder of Rhode, has pledged her support to organisations including California Community Foundation and Pasadena Community Foundation.
The celebrity and model has also made a series of Instagram Stories on how people can provide relief.
Tower28, the skin make-up brand founded by Amy Liu, has also set up a donation point to raise money for people impacted by the fires.
Liu has also used her social media accounts to direct people to emergency resources.
Dolce Glow, meanwhile, has established a donation drop-off point which can be found at the brand’s offices at 1621 First Street, Unit 5, San Fernando, CA 91340.
BK Beauty is donating 100% of net proceeds from sales to the California Community Foundation between 9 and 11 January.
Similarly, beauty brand Tarte will also donate sales proceeds to the Word Central Kitchen which is reportedly providing meals to firefighters and citizens.
Los Angeles make-up artist Nick Lennon set up a Go FundMe page after his home was destroyed by the wildfires. The page can be found here.
Marta Freedman, co-founder of Dieux Skin and Sacha Strebe, founder of Skinlexicon, have also set up GoFundMe pages.
Fragrance and fashion brand LoveShackFancy is providing resources to the LA Fire Department and has urged followers to also support the organisation.
Violet Grey, Bareminerals and Jones Road Beauty have also shown their support and committed resources to help displayed citizens.
