Johnson & Johnson French pharmacy brand RoC is following the pop-up craze that has become so popular on the bar and restaurant scene, but in this case it’s a pop-up Dermacie designed to give consumers in the UK access to much sought after dermatological information.

While in France and much of Europe as well as in the US there is easy access to dermatologists or dermatology information on the high street, While many European and US consumers visit dermatologists regularly, only 1% in the UK does, although 59% say they would like to see a specialist, according to consultant dermatologist Susan Mayou.

La Dermacie de RoC is being trialled for two days this week in London’s west end, with the first day exclusive to Grazia reader offer winners while the second day is open to the public. People will be offered facial skin analysis and there will also be mini facials, facial exercise lessons and make-up lessons with make-up artist Ruby Hammer.

All this will take place in a showroom where RoC’s new range will be shown in its entirety for the first time worldwide. This will include the brand’s new Retin-Ox Wrinkle Correxion range, due to make its global debut on the UK market in October.

“We have been trying to streamline our anti-ageing offer recently and this new range focuses on the three major causes of wrinkles: slowdown of cellular turnover; decrease of collagen; and degradation of elastin,” said Nathalie Issachar, RoC’s head of R&D at the Dermacie opening last night. To target these triggers Wrinkle Correxion combines intelligent biopeptides, pure retinol and hyaluronic acid fragments with a low molecular weight.

The range, comprising Daily Moisuriser, Regenerating Night Cream, and Intensive Serum (all £26.99) and Eye Cream (£20.99), is said to be proven to give a 30% reduction in the appearance of total wrinkles in eight weeks.
