ShinEtsu offers water- and oil resistant silicone film former

Ingredients

TSPL-30-ID is a new silicone film former from Shin-Etsu Silicones of America, a subsidiary of Japan’s Shin-Etsu Chemical Co.

The siliconised pullulan film former in isododecane is said to offer excellent resistance to water and oil, enabling anti-transfer benefits to be built into long wear lip applications. The silicone moiety further modifies the film flexibility, providing comfort with a non-tacky feel.

Siliconisation of the pullulan polymer renders the film former highly permeable to moisture and oxygen to enhance skin health.
