Japanese skin care giant Shiseido has announced the completion of its 15th global factory, based in Vietnam.
The factory, which began construction in 2008, will manufacture and produce products that target the middle-income group in Asia, including China – a country that Shiseido has ear marked for major growth in the future.
With Vietnam having such a central location within the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) countries, the group hopes the site will benefit in terms of export as well as transportation costs.
Commencing full scale operations from April the factory will be the main production base for all of Shiseido’s masstige products including men’s cosmetics, hair styling agents and facial cleansers.
