Jo Allen, SPC’s Features Editor, has been awarded the runner-up prize in the Best Trade Beauty Journalist category in Johnson & Johnson’s Beauty Journalism Awards, held at the Royal Institute of British Architects last night.
The ceremony, attended by the glitterati of the beauty journalism profession, aims to recognise achievement in beauty skin care writing across the board.
Allen was honoured for her coverage of the skin care market, which appeared in the June 2008 issue of SPC. She also won the award itself in J&J’s first ever ceremony in 2005. HPCI media has picked up a prize at every one of these awards since their inception. ECM’s Anne-Marie Kruse won in 2006, followed by SPC’s Emma Reinhold in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
