The opportunity

The Cosmetic Science area at London College of Fashion is renowned for its specialist educational offer, which includes a unique course in the UK - integrated MSc Cosmetic Science. Currently, we have an opening for a Specialist Cosmetic Science Technician.

Your main objectives will be to provide professional expertise, guidance and support for student learning including informal and formal training and instruction, and aid in the development of proficiency with highly specialist analytical techniques, production methods and technology.

You will also take shared responsibility for the day to day running of the Cosmetic Science laboratories including the use and booking of specialist facilities, upkeep, carrying out minor repairs on equipment, and managing supplies.

About you

A degree-level education in Science, some product formulation experience and an educational/ training background would help you to meet requirements for this challenging, but fulfilling role.

In addition to your science background, you will ideally possess strong IT skills, excellent planning and time management skills, have experience with the upkeep of scientific equipment and be able to communicate effectively orally, in writing and/or using visual media.
