Symrise proves skin lightening properties for Extrapone

Symrise says it now has evidence of skin lightening in Extrapone Nutgrass (Motha) Root GW (Cyperus rotundus) with studies using the extract of the root said to show a significant ability to inhibit the formation of melanin.

Symrise says it now has evidence of skin lightening in Extrapone Nutgrass (Motha) Root GW (Cyperus rotundus) with studies using the extract of the root said to show a significant ability to inhibit the formation of melanin.

Extrapone was introduced by Symrise last year as part of a range of plant extracts from Ayurvedic medicine. Cyperus rotundus is used traditionally as an anti-inflammatory active and is also used as an ingredient in perfumes and insect repellents. Thanks to this latest research the ingredient is now being recommended for skin lightening and anti-ageing properties.
